  • Bird recording: Here you will find details of our recording work and the area that we cover (about 580 square miles!). There's a useful bird site map, instructions on how to submit records, and a constantly updated list of sightings in our area. There's also information on Bird Surveys in our recording area.
  • Where to watch birds: Brief descriptions of and a colour map showing the major bird watching sites in and around our recording area - from the Yorkshire Dales to the spectacular Yorkshire coast. You'll also find here some in-depth descriptions by our members of their favourite bird watching areas. Plus - a page of books on 'Where to Watch Birds' in Britain and the rest of the world.
  • Diary of events: Details of our indoor meetings and field trips in the coming year. For visitors from outside our area (who are welcome at all our activities), maps of the locations are on our events page.
  • Our organisation: Who does what in the York Ornithological Club - and how to contact them. Also, details of membership of the Club. Our Recorders welcome bird records from anyone living in or visiting our recording area.
